Poor Members of Veterans Association Stay at 3.4 Percent

Dong Nai Veterans Association’s figures say that according to the province's updated poverty line in 2011-2015 period the rate of its poor members across the province is 3.4 percent and that the rest is those with an average or above-average living standard.

The Association’s members help with the renovations of the house of one of its needy members

In the first half of 2011, the Association admitted 775 members, bringing its total members to 27,826, accounting for 98 percent compared with its total membership.

The Association’s Party members represent 33 percent.

Levels of the Association have raised nearly VND1.7 billion (or US$81,870.1) that is spent on loans made to its member for business activities and poverty alleviation.
