September 2: Holidays and Flag Raising

August 26, Dong Nai People's Committee made an announcement on holidays and flag raising in commemoration of the 66th Anniversary of National Day (September 2,1945 – September 2, 2011).

Accordingly, agencies, units, farms, Vietnam People's Army bases, schools, hospitals, and households are required to hang up the national flag from August 31 to September 2.

Particularly, the national flag and the Party’s flag must be hung above the head offices of government agencies, units, armed forces, and political and social organizations.

At the same time, officers, civil servants, armed forces, and employees at the Party and the government’s agencies, unions, and private, state-owned, and foreign-invested companies  are allowed a day off on National Day.
