The ceremony consists of two parts: a martyr’s memorial ceremony and a praying ceremony for martyrs held by the Administration of Dong Nai Buddhist Association (under the Central Vietnam Buddhist Association’s authorization).

In addition, there will be a closing ceremony for summer camp program 2011 for the campers who are overseas young Vietnamese held by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs.

At working session, Vice Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga asked that the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs design detailed plans in terms of size, scope, participants of the memorial ceremony and that concerned agencies such as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Youth Union, and Vietnam Television Station ought to form concrete ideas concerning cooperation and implementation steps.

Also, Vice Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee noted that the costs for the memorial ceremony would be covered by the organization board, and that the costs would neither be funded by the state budget nor local businesses.

Martyr’s Memorial ceremony is expected to be held at Dong Nai Martyrs Cemetery on July 23, 2011.
