Dong Nai Women's Association has cooperation in counseling women on osteoporosis |
The report shows that in the first half of 2011 Dong Nai Women’s Association successfully accomplished key political tasks, especially emulation activities to welcome the Women Congress at all levels and the 8th Dong Nai Women Congress, and to aim at the 9th National Women Congress, and actively prepared for the election of the 13th National Assembly deputies and of People's Council delegates in 2011-2016 period.
In terms of building and developing the Association, levels of Women’s Associations have admitted 8,277 members, bringing its total membership across the province up to 487,000 women, accounting for 74.7 percent.
The province has had 437,192 households with women at the age of over 18, including 370,853 households with the Association’s members, accounting for 84.82 percent.
214,432 members of the Association regularly take part in its activities, accounting for 75 percent.
In addition, levels of Women’s Association have nominated its 72 outstanding members that have been sent to the Party’s refresher courses and admitted 15 Party members.

Environment Protection Contest is held to raise people's awareness |
Vice Chairperson of Dong Nai Women's Association Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa said that it would focus on asking levels of Women’s Associations to complete the targets set in 2011 in the second half of the year as follows:
- Pay a special attention to improving the quality of the activities that help women do business for hunger elimination and poverty reduction.
- Focus on seeking funds to provide the poor households with female heads with more than 80 percent of capital. Particularly, 25 percent of households have overcome poverty according to new criteria.
- Collaborate with agencies and sectors in assisting women in applying science and technology, and in providing them with vocational training classes, and jobs.
