Exciting Mid-August Festival Activities

To bring children, especially needy ones opportunities to participate in fun activities on the occasion of Mid-August Festival 2011, September 10 through 12 Dong Nai Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs collaborated with Dong Nai Children House in holding “Full Moon Night 2011” for 800 students at Education School No. 4, for 500 to 600 students in Cam My district, and for more than 500 children in Dong Nai Children’s House.

Those are exceptionally needy children such as homeless children, minor violators at Education School No. 4, labor children, families who are government policy beneficiaries, and those who are the children in ethnic minority communities and in far-flung areas.

At “Full Moon Night”, children took part in fun and useful activities: lantern demonstration, flower picking for understanding children’s rights and children-related policies, folk games, music performance exchanges, gift offering, and so on.

*In response to Mid-August Festival 2011, on the evening of September 9 Dong Nai Youth Union and Labor Union at Dong Nai Party Committee held “Fun Mid-August Night Aims at Vietnam’s Sea and Islands” for those who are the children of officers, civil servants, Youth Union members, and Labor Union members. At the same time, gifts were given to 80 children of officers and Youth Union members at People-Government-Party bloc.

On the evening of September 10, Youth Union and Labor Union at Dong Nai Party Committee held Mid-August Festival activities for the children of workers and laborers in Tan Phong ward.

In addition to fun activities and lantern demonstration, 70 needy children received gifts worth VND100,000 each.

*On the evening of September 10, more than 100 children in hamlet 4, Binh Loi commune, Vinh Cuu district took part in a lot of exciting activities at “Full Moon Night” held by the Management of Nhan Loc Limited Company.

Here, children enjoyed lion dance performances and took part in many games: quiz, basket ball, football, ring throwing, music performance, and lucky draws…
