Anti-drug activities at the announcing ceremony for the establishment of Anti-Drug Women Club

The “Anti-Drug Women Club” model is constructed to provide classes of women and people with the knowledge of drug, prostitution, and HIV prevention through cultural and artistic activities, to make women and people acquire a better understanding of harmful effects and consequences of drug, to educate their children and family members to stay away from drug abuse and other social evils.

Simultaneously, the model is to care for and give materialistic and spiritual are assistance to its poverty members; to call for women to build up cultural families; to participate in self-management women groups that promise to look after and educate their children to avoid getting involved in crimes and social evils; to strive to build up families with such criteria as “Prosperity, equality, progress and happiness”; to contribute to successfully implementing the “All people unite to build up a cultural life” campaign in residential areas; to build communes and wards without crimes and social evils.

It is known that the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Women's Association started establishing four points for the implementation of the “Anti-Drug Women Club” model in Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Dinh Quan, and Trang Bom districts.

Throughout 2011, the model will be expanded to the other seven districts and cities. Thong Nhat district and Bau Ham 2 commune will be chosen as regions for the expansion of the model.
