"Military Semester” Programs Held

In summer 2011, Center for Teen Activities at Dong Nai Youth Union in collaboration with the Artillery Brigade 75 will hold “Military Semester” programs.

These programs are expected to be divided into three phases. Each phase lasts for 10 days. Phase 1 for the sixth to ninth graders at middle schools in Dong Nai is scheduled to take place from June 8 to June 17.

Within 10 training days, middle school students will take  part in such many exciting activities as:

- Learning to do four morning exercises, and how to use bare hands to give commands.

- Learning how to move on the battlefield, and to assemble AK47s.

- Making order and hygiene arrangements and learning techniques to grow vegetables, to dig the ground to make Hoang Cam stoves, and to put up a hammock.

- Getting trained on how to write a “Looking back on myself” diary, a “A child” diary, a “I and my passions” diary, and learning about camping skills and activities, teamwork methods, communicative skills, and cultural, musical, and sports activities.

In addition, middle school students can participate in big games, false alarming games, overnight operations, and skills to traverse terrain.
