At the meeting, Trang Dai voters continued expressing their concerns over the unsolvable polluted landfill issue that has existed in the ward for years.
Many voters say that polluted groundwater and bad smells coming from Dong Xanh company’s waste treatment plant are not improved better than before, especially those in the rainy season.
Meanwhile, there has not been a drinking-water supplying system for people living around the landfill, which greatly affects people’s health and lives.
Therefore, voters ask that Dong Nai province and Bien Hoa city move the landfill out of residential areas.
There are 20 major projects in the ward, which have been prolonged but none of them have been finished. So, a lot of voters continued to express their great concerns about “suspended planning”.
In some places, there are still unclear planning, which causes difficulties for granting certificates of land use rights and for the building of public facilities such as transport, lighting, and drainage systems and residential areas.
Besides, there exist some other problems such as demand for the building of primary schools to reduce the total students of each class, planning and building new markets, planning for and the building of new markets, expansion of main roads through the ward, which attracts the great attention from voters.
Dong Nai People's Council and Bien Hoa Municipal People’s Council deputies acknowledged voters’ recommendations and opinions and promised to submit them to functional agencies for reply at the the shortest time.
