Long Thanh district systematically deploys the digital transformation program

​(News Portal – Dong Nai) - According to Long Thanh District People's Committee, recently, departments in the locality have focused on systematically implementing the digital transformation program in all fields and have initially achieved some important results. 

Accordingly, the District People's Committee has established a Steering Committee and a Digital Transformation Support Team, assigned specific tasks to members of the Digital Transformation Steering Committee and the District Digital Transformation Support Team, as well as promulgated Operation Regulations of the District Digital Transformation Steering Committee. In addition, the District People's Committee also directs the People's Committees of communes and towns to consolidate the Digital Transformation Steering Committee at commune and town levels, and gives guidance on activities of community digital technology groups in communes and towns.

Sectors and levels also promote propaganda about digital transformation to raise awareness of officials, civil servants and people through diverse mediums. Most recently, the district organized Digital Transformation Week from October 4 to 6 with many exciting activities aimed at raising awareness of officials, civil servants and people about digital transformation.

Regarding building and developing digital government, the district has registered and provided instructions on how to run the OA Zalo page for the People's Committee of Long Phuoc commune, as well as for the People's Committees of communes and towns. The district's authority also coordinated with the Provincial Center for Technology and Information and Communications to complete the connection configuration to the national population database for Egov user accounts at the district and commune one-stop division. The organization also instructed units to implement a number of contents of Circular No. 185/2019/TT-BQP of the Minister of National Defense on the provision, management, and use of specialized digital signature authentication services for the Government, in addition handing over digital signatures to civil servants and officials of district and commune one-stop divisions to digitize records on one-stop software. Up to date, 100% of leaders and accountants of specialized departments and People's Committees of communes and towns have been granted specialized digital signatures from the Government Cipher Committee.

The District People's Committee also issued Decision No. 2565/QD-UBND on regulations for coordinating the collection of fees and charges of agencies and units at the Receiving and Returning Results Division at all levels in Long Thanh district. Currently, 3 units have been chosen for testing: economic department, justice department, and Long Phuoc commune since July.

The district also promoted the implementation of non-cash payments. To date, the district has organized 5 sessions explaining how to install the Viettel Money online payment application for 60 out of 82 merchants in Long Phuoc market. The district also continues to coordinate with banks and the Youth Union of Dong Nai College of High Technology to provide instructions at the stalls of small businesses registered at Long Thanh market to make non-cash payments via scanning QR code.
