In the contract, The Coi eco-tourism and resort project will rent 10 spots in Tan Phu protective forest with a total area of more than 480 hectares. The project will build infrastructure to serve ecotourism, relaxation, and entertainment in the forest lease area. These constructions will be on bare land, grasslands, and shrub lands that are not capable of self-regeneration. The business's viewpoint is sustainable development, not destroying the environmental landscape, not cutting down forests, and construction works must rely on nature and be in harmony with the environmental landscape.
The company asks the province to soon approve the project. Regarding the roads connecting 10 tourist destinations, including the existing road from Highway 20 to Bau Nuoc Soi and Thac Mai and the roads connecting to the remaining 8 tourist destinations, currently these roads are all degraded and the lighting system is non-existent. As a result, the company proposes to use the above routes to connect to 10 tourist destinations, and it will aid local authorities in upgrading, repairing, managing and building new electricity, water, telecommunications systems... to serve tourism, as well as the firefighting, patrolling, and forest protection activities.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi emphasizes that tourism development is a major breakthrough for the province, but departments and agencies are still slow, not focused, and not drastic in advising to implement this goal. It is agreed that the Provincial People's Committee will approve the policy of The Coi resort eco-tourism project, and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is responsible for advising on project approval and must complete this November. Departments are responsible for providing correct and sufficient guidance for the company to implement this project. The content of the contract must be prepared carefully and clearly from the beginning, especially the responsibilities of each party. In particular, forest management, taxes and related issues must be within the management scope of the Provincial People's Committee.
