To overcome challenges, in addition to making the most of the boost from policies, businesses also have to flexibly adjust their strategies in the direction of proactive innovation, improving markets, products, services, and reducing costs, as well as improving risk management capacity to maintain sustainable operations.

Waiting for more improvement
According to the assessment of Dong Nai Statistics Department, in general, the province's industrial production situation in the first 9 months of 2023 faced many challenges due to lack of production orders, high raw material costs. Some enterprises had to reorganize to maintain production. Although recently, some businesses have received new production orders, but the quantity of goods was insignificant, so they place their hope in the last months of the year and Tet holiday to increase their sales.

According to Deputy Director of Phuoc Hung Mechanical Production Trading Company Limited (Bien Hoa City) Pham Thi My Chau, the problem that manufacturing enterprises are facing is that the consumption of goods has not been fully recovered. Some items that used to sell well are now in large inventory. As exporting and supplying to manufacturers is facing challenges, the company is currently shifting to the domestic market. With household products such as TV shelves, air conditioners, refrigerator bases, etc., the company's revenue is expected to increase during the remaining months of this year.

Director of Loc Gam Phat Co., Ltd. Do Thi Hong Nhung, which specializes in producing tiles for yards, gardens, and public projects, hopes for a positive change in public investment in the last months of this year. According to Ms. Nhung, what businesses like Loc Gam Phat need now is the government to have a solution to promote investment progress in key projects and support businesses in the construction industry. From there, gradually removing the industry's challenges and obstacles due to infrastructure and construction will also be a pulling force to promote the development in other fields.

“In reality, we have offered products to many partners, and many customers have also asked and contacted the company for quotes, but the number of successful cooperation is limited. We very much hope that by the end of the year, many projects will be accelerated, and the demand for the company's products will increase,"

"Renew" their own images to create more motivation for the domestic market

According to Dong Nai Wood Association, the wood industry has encountered many challenges in recent times. The wood export targets of the country as well as Dong Nai are difficult to achieve this year. Experiencing mountains of pressure recently and "surviving" the recession also partly give businesses more motivation to renew themselves and boldly return to the domestic market.

As a result, many businesses in the wood industry are currently pursuing both domestic and international markets at the same time. For the domestic market, the introduction of interior products made from imported wood and European-American style products to domestic consumers is being promoted. Dong Nai province is also implementing a sustainable strategy in wood production and processing. In the immediate future, the province plans to gradually build an ecosystem from planting domestic raw material forests to production and trade based on its existing advantages.
