(News Portal – Dong Nai) – Since the start of the project to trace the origin of livestock and livestock products, there has been around 57,3 thousand pigs tagged using collars and traceable stamps. In particular, currently the entire province has 303 pig farms that have registered their livestock on Te-Food livestock management software, reaching a rate of more than 17.8%. Te-food is a software system for livestock management and disease control using Blockchain technology; the application of 4.0 technology to trace origins to manage livestock herds and collect and process emergency epidemic prevention information was piloted in the province back in 2019. This is a model that the province focuses on replicating and has attracted many businesses in the livestock industry to participate. The model is being widely adopted by farms and family – run businesses.

Pigs transported by traders from Thong Nhat district and supplied to the Ho Chi Minh City market are all wearing traceability collars.

The traceable source of animal products is mainly supplied to Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai's largest consumer market. In the future, Dong Nai will continue to expand models of traceability of livestock and crop products, as the province considers this a breakthrough and practical solution to address the need to consume safe, well-originated products. This is also a solution that contributes to building the province's reputation for quality livestock products in the domestic and export markets.
