Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi chaired the meeting

According to the report from the Department of Construction, there are 4 industrial hazardous waste treatment facilities in the province: Daewon Chemical Vina Company Limited., Dai Lam Son Co.,Ltd, Tan Phat Tai Company Limited and Nhon Trach 6A Investment Construction Industrial Zone Company Limited. The facilities within the scope of this project have been licensed, equip with relatively modern technology and operate according to a closed process but they are not included in the province's waste treatment zone planning.

Currently, some facilities want to increase capacity to meet the needs of hazardous waste treatment, as well as increase their recycling capability. It is necessary to unify the existence of the project, increase capacity and operating licenses.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Vo Van Phi requested the Department of Construction to conduct a field survey to the above facilities to evaluate the operating capacity, treatment technology, operational efficiency and environmental risks. The province's viewpoint is to support waste recycling projects in order to increase raw materials for production, limit the risk of environmental pollution, and limit the existence of small, unlicensed recycling facilities. Waste treatment businesses that operate well, do not pollute the environment, contribute to society and follow the green economic development orientation and circular economy will be facilitated.
