Wood Industry Workers Busy with Work

At Star Un Co., Ltd. (Bien Hoa City), there are currently more than 200 workers. In recent months, the production workshops have been continuously handling signed orders. Consequently, workers have been engaging in their tasks with high spirit and responsibility. Nguyen Duc Thai, the company's maintenance manager, stated that since the beginning of the year, the company has received orders again, allowing workers to have more consistent employment. He hopes that from now until the end of the year, the company's production and business activities will continue to thrive, with abundant orders to ensure workers' incomes are not affected.

Tan Hoa 1 Co., Ltd. (Tan Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City), with more than 230 workers, is a wood manufacturer that exports its products to European countries. Since the beginning of the year, this company has maintained stable orders, providing steady employment for its workers. Duong Van Luan, a worker at the company, shared that in recent months, workers have been enthusiastic about their work because the company's production situation is stable, with a plentiful number of orders. Many workers have averaged 2-3 days of overtime per week.

At several other wood manufacturing enterprises in Dong Nai, up to this point, the production and business situation has shown signs of improvement. Although the number of orders is not large, it ensures employment for workers without reducing working hours as before. Representatives from these companies noted that the wood industry has been one of the most affected sectors recently due to global economic impacts. Currently, companies are restoring production and striving to maintain jobs for workers by seeking additional new orders.

Nguyen Hai Dang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hiep Hoa Phat Furniture Decoration Joint Stock Company (Phuoc Tan Ward, Bien Hoa City), shared that the company previously had 700 workers, but this number has now dropped to over 400. A positive sign is that since the beginning of the year, workers have had regular employment and opportunities for overtime to increase their income.
