​ With the goal of gradually making landscape and tourism environment protection a habit for both residents and visitors, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism is focusing on raising awareness among the community, businesses, and tourists about maintaining a green, clean, and beautiful tourism environment.  

Effective tourism environment protection will serve as a powerful message in promoting tourism, creating a positive impression on visitors. At the same time, it enhances the value and brand of destinations, contributing to sustainable tourism development.

Dong Nai's tourism strategy is highly regarded for integrating conservation and promoting natural values and biodiversity. Local tourism companies have successfully maintained and impressed visitors with products that emphasize nature exploration and environmental protection, contributing to Dong Nai's environmental protection initiatives.

Cat Tien National Park is not only known as a nature discovery spot with unique forest landscapes and distinctive tourism products but also as a green tourism destination. It offers tourism products that carry environmental protection messages and has organized meaningful activities such as wildlife rescue releases, encouraging residents to return wild animals to their natural habitats, and holding discussions with managers and experts on biodiversity. Activities commemorate Biodiversity Day, World Environment Day, and other significant environmental events.

To achieve the goal of tourism linked with environmental protection, Dong Nai promotes to residents and tourism businesses the development of focused tourism products with the motto “Distinctive Tourism Products - Professional Services – Convenient, Simple Procedures – Competitive Prices – Clean, Beautiful Environment – Safe and Friendly Destinations" in line with Government Resolution No. 82/2023/NQ-CP, dated May 18, 2023, on implementing major tasks and solutions to accelerate recovery and sustainable tourism development.

Specifically, the province is promoting the use of environmentally friendly products towards sustainable tourism development. Tourist spots are encouraged to use biodegradable plastic bags and to limit plastic waste, aiming for green tourism. Visitors are called upon to join local tourism efforts in protecting the environment. Taking care of the environment is taking cared of oneself; aiming for a litter-free destination; maintaining general cleanliness, disposing of trash in designated places; preserving and protecting cultural and historical monuments is the responsibility of every resident and tourist. Through these activities, Dong Nai tourism supports the Environmental Action Month and actively implements the Tourism Code of Conduct to ensure the tourism environment becomes increasingly professional, dynamic, while retaining the local cultural and tourism identity.
