Brazilian Business Delegation Explores Investment Opportunities in Dong Nai

(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On June 8th, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang, along with representatives from various departments, and major corporations such as Tin Nghia, Dong Nai Industrial Zone Development Corporation, and Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation, welcomed a Brazilian business delegation led by Mr. Evaldo da Silva Junior, Director of the Foreign Trade and Investment Promotion Department of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Also in attendance was Mr. Ngo Xuan Tỵ, Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in Brazil.

Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang presented a souvenir to Mr. Evaldo da Silva Junior, the head of the delegation. 

In his remarks, Mr. Evaldo da Silva Junior noted that Brazil is among the world's largest economies and the biggest market in South America. The Brazilian business delegation's visit to Dong Nai aims to explore business opportunities and partnerships in commerce and investment, specifically in agriculture, food and beverages, and the supply of raw materials for manufacturing and processing industries. Furthermore, the visit seeks to connect and support Dong Nai enterprises in expanding their market presence in Brazil, thereby enhancing bilateral economic and trade relations.

Overview of the meeting 

Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hoang provided the delegation with an overview of the province's socio-economic situation and foreign investment attraction. Dong Nai has attracted investments from 46 countries and territories, with a total of 1,652 projects and registered capital amounting to $34.61 billion USD. However, there are currently no projects from Brazil. The Vice Chairwoman expressed hope that this meeting would provide the Brazilian delegation with valuable information about Dong Nai, laying the groundwork for potential cooperation and development opportunities between the province and Brazilian partners. She also hoped that the Vietnam Trade Office in Brazil would continue to facilitate connections, enabling Dong Nai to attract more Brazilian businesses to invest, produce, and operate in the province, and to bolster trade, import-export activities, and goods exchanges between the two sides in the future.

The Brazilian Business Delegation took a commemorative photo with provincial leaders and representatives from Dong Nai's departments and enterprises.

On this occasion, Mr. Evaldo da Silva Junior extended an invitation to the leaders of Dong Nai province and its enterprises to participate in Brazil's largest agricultural fair, scheduled from March 10-14, 2025. ​ ​​
