Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh Surveys the Tourism Potential of Tri An Lake

In a report on the current status and potential for tourism development at Tri An Lake, leaders of Vinh Cuu District People's Committee and several departments and sectors highlighted that Tri An Lake spans over 32,000 hectares across the administrative boundaries of Vinh Cuu, Trang Bom, Thong Nhat, and Dinh Quan districts. It is the largest artificial lake in Vietnam. Situated at the headwaters of the Dong Nai River, Tri An Lake not only serves as a water supply source for the residents of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Ho Chi Minh City but also holds significant potential for tourism development. In the tourism development plan, the area around Tri An Lake is designated as one of seven national-level tourism sites.

Recently, tourism around Tri An Lake has seen considerable growth, especially in camping and boating experiences, drawing an increasing number of tourists from within and outside the province. However, these tourism models have been somewhat spontaneous. To enhance state management and harness the tourism potential around Tri An Lake, at the end of 2023, the Provincial People's Committee issued a proposal for ecological, resort, and recreational tourism in the Dong Nai Nature-Culture Conservation Area for the 2021-2030 period. The Dong Nai Nature-Culture Conservation Area is currently finalizing investment invitation criteria as per regulations.

Vinh Cuu District Leaders Introduce the Lakeside Road to the Provincial Party Secretary

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized the importance of preserving green trees and replacing regular timber trees with valuable ones to ensure sustainable forest development. Additionally, he commended the district's idea of planning a road along the lake and forest. According to the Provincial Party Secretary, tourism space planning must coincide with infrastructure investment plans. Units must publicly announce infrastructure plans, including roads, electricity, and water, enabling investors to orient their investment requests and develop coordinated tourism projects. The Provincial Party Secretary stressed that tourism infrastructure would facilitate the development of tourism projects. Areas with prior infrastructure investment plans will attract tourism development investments first. For tourism sites on Tri An Lake, it is necessary to plan boat piers and strictly ensure environmental protection, maintaining clean water sources.
