Dong Nai Province has recovered nearly 44.8 thousand hectares of land from 38,364 households to implement works and projects in the area. Among them, about 3,2 thousand households and individuals were arranged for the resettlement. The total amount of money that the province has paid for the compensation, support and resettlement upon land recovery is VDN10 thousand billion.
The province is currently implementing more than 1,900 works and projects in the fields of socio-economic, defense and security. In which, the project with the land area to be recovered and the largest amount of compensation for site clearance is Long Thanh International Airport. The area to be recovered for this project is about 5 thousand hectares. In addition, in the province, there are many large projects completing investment procedures for land acquisition and deployment, namely Xuan Que - Song Nhan Industrial Zone (Cam My District) with nearly 3,600 ha, Bau Can - Tan Hiep Industrial Zone (Long Thanh District) with an area of 2,627ha.
