Shire Oak International expands investment in Solar Power
On April 5, Mrs.Nguyen Thi Hoang- Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with departments and Shire Oak International (UK) on the policy of attracting provincial investment in renewable energy. Shire Oak International Limited was established in 2002, specializing in renewable energy including solar power, wind power. Up to now, the Group has implemented over 720 projects in many countries and territories (including Vietnam). In Dong Nai, Shire Oak International Group has invested in a number of projects.
According to Mr.Chris Hooun - Global Strategy Director of Shire Oak International Limited, the Group wants to invest in the province by cooperating with enterprises, schools, hospitals, agencies and departments to implement the rooftop solar power project. The Group will install all machinery, and once power is available, it will be sold entirely to enterprises and agencies leasing roofs of factories at lower electricity prices than Vietnam Electricity.
According to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that renewable energy attracts and encourages enterprises to invest. As a result, the provincial policy would create conditions for Shire Oak International to connect with enterprises in provincial industrial parks, allowing for exchanges and cooperation in rooftop voltage investment. However, the Group pays attention to the regulations on procedures for investing in rooftop voltage to properly implement.
