*Increasing supply for markets

Since the beginning of the year, most of the main products in the province have been expanded to other countries and territories. In which, footwear exported reached 1.9 billion USD, increased nearly 12% compared to  the same period last year; Machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reached 930 million USD, increased nearly 34%; Wood products reached 910 million USD, increased nearly 73%; Textile fiber reached 723 million USD, increased approximately 70%; Textiles and garments reached USD 684 million, increased nearly 4%; Vehicles and spare parts reached 527 million USD, increased 67%; Computers, electronic products and components reached 458 million, increased 77%.

Mr Masato Kataoka, General Director of Ojitex Vietnam Co., Ltd in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park said: “The company belongs to Oji Paper Group of Japan, is a leading player in the forestry, paper and packaging industries globally. The company has invested in Dong Nai for more than 20 years and operating relatively efficiently. The Covid-19 epidemic has an impact on the company, but production has been quickly restored and exports still ensure growth. The company is building more factories in Long Thanh district to expand exports to other countries.

According to Mr Park Hyun Bae, Chairman of the Korean Business Association in Dong Nai, Korean enterprises have invested in more than 420 projects in the province with a total registered capital of nearly 7 billion USD. Most enterprises have stable production and business activities. 60% of enterprise’s goods is for export, the rest is consumed in the domestic market. Over the past 1 year, despite the Covid-19 epidemic, but because companies do well with "dual" goals, so we still ensure a good growth in many fields.

*Overcome difficulties

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in the first 5 months of this year, exports to many markets increased sharply such as the United States, Europe, Japan, Korea, China and some countries in ASEAN. Orders from China and some other countries are moving to Vietnam, including Dong Nai. Because according to multinational corporations, Dong Nai is home to many enterprises with modern factories that can meet large and fast orders and this is a good disease prevention area, it is safe to move orders here.

Mr Will Mackereth, Director of Supply Chain of Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd in Amata Industrial Park (Bien Hoa City) said: “In 2020 and the first five months of this year, the export growth of Nestlé products reached about 20%. In particular, achieved high growth rates in the markets like the Philippines, Thailand, the United States, and Japan... Recently, Nestlé has increased investment capital in Dong Nai about 132 million USD to build a factory to process coffee for export”. Up to now, Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd has invested 402 million USD in the province.

The current world economic situation continues to recover, multinational corporations have to recalculate the global product supply chain to avoid being too dependent on a few countries. Vietnam is one of the good choices for foreign partners. Therefore, this is also an opportunity for businesses in Dong Nai to find more customers to sign product sales contracts.

Mr Le Bach Long, Director of Nam Long Co., Ltd (Long Thanh district) said: "In 2020, Nam Long openned more glove consumption market to Italy and to Russia in early 2021. Currently, the company's products are exported to nearly 10 countries and territories. Nam Long plans to expand 2 more medical gloves production lines for export”.
