The whole province has more than 1.3 thousand hectares of plants certified according to VietGAP, UTZ, 4C, organic standards and 86 planting area codes with an area of ​​about 21.6 thousand hectares with crops such as: bananas, jackfruit, dragon fruit... Up to now, the province has 84 linkage chains in the field of cultivation with a scale of more than 16.3 thousand hectares; in which, mainly fruit tree chains with 38 chains; there are 9 food crop chains; 25 industrial tree chains; 8 vegetable chains; 4 chains of medicinal herbs and other plants…

Mr Dang Tuong Khanh, Director of Trong Duc Cocoa Company Limited (Dinh Quan district), the company focuses on investing in developing clean raw material areas, participating in the model of production cooperation according to clean standards of quality in order to towards expanding the market, deeply participating in the domestic and foreign confectionery supply chain in the future. Therefore, the company hopes the locality to have more support programs to develop deep processing factories, build supply chains to increase the value of local agricultural products, especially in the context of the pandemic Covid-19 is having many complicated developments that have a significant impact on production and business activities today.

Currently, Dong Nai is forming specialized production areas, promoting the formation of linkage chains in the production, processing and export of agricultural products. The province also piloted the development of two agricultural product processing industrial clusters are Long Giao Industrial Cluster (Cam My District) and Phu Tuc Industrial Cluster (Dinh Quan District).

Representatives of many e-commerce platforms, consulting companies on e-commerce development said that Dong Nai had many advantages to develop this field, especially a number of agricultural products and processed foods...

Therefore, the locality needs to strengthen the implementation of many support and connection programs for businesses and cooperatives in the province to put their products on e-commerce platforms, develop websites to promote, sell, and expand their markets in the online environment.

According to many experts and exporters, Dong Nai needs to invest more in logistics for agriculture and strengthen the construction of logistics service centers for agricultural products for domestic consumption and export that adding value to local agricultural products, while contributing to increased income for farmers.

Mr Vu Truong Sinh, Director of a company specializing in agricultural import and export services in Ho Chi Minh City shared that the company regularly works with partners in Dong Nai on exporting agricultural products, especially banana products. In the current integration context, the development of logistics services for local agricultural products is very important.

The company hopes the locality has more appropriate mechanisms and policies to expand and develop more warehouses for gathering, storing, freezing and packing banana products for export in particular and other agricultural products in general, thereby helping to reduce production costs, related services and improve the value of local agricultural products.
