Dong Nai has a trade surplus equal to 66% of the whole country
Machine parts are a super big export item
According to Dong Nai Statistics Office, in the 9 months of 2022, businesses in the province have exported more than USD 19.34 billion and imported nearly USD 15.1 billion of raw materials. Therefore, the trade balance is in favor of Dong Nai with a trade surplus of nearly USD 4.3 billion, equal to about 66% of the country's trade surplus. In the import-export structure of the province, there is a tendency to increase export turnover and decrease import of raw materials. As businesses increase to find domestic sources of raw materials to take the initiative in production and business.
Dong Nai's three biggest export markets are the United States, Japan and China, accounting for about 51% of total export turnover. The rest is exported to nearly 170 other countries and territories around the world. The province's main exports are still footwear, textiles, electronic computers and components, machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts, textile fibers, wood products, means of transport and spare parts. Dong Nai mainly imports materials for industrial production such as iron and steel, cotton, fabrics, raw materials for the footwear industry, chemicals, and plastics.
