From late September 2021, enterprises inside and outside the Industrial Zones continuously register in other to re-operate, and add in workers to gradually increase their factories’ capacity. In the fourth quarter of 2021, industrial production and export are expected to have better development.
Particularly, in the Industrial Zones of the province, there are more than 1,4 thousand enterprises, which have boosted their capacity in the sectors of textiles and garments, footwear, electronic components, wood products, textile fibers, machinery and equipment, food processing.

Computer Products Co., Ltd (Bien Hoa II Industrial Zone, Bien Hoa City) has restored
its capacity of 100%
Restore production as soon as possible.
The Covid-19 pandemic caused several enterprises in Dong Nai to lose 15-25 percent of orders for the year-end manufacturing season in the third quarter of 2021. However, at this moment, resuming production will help enterprises maintain numerous orders and help partners feel secure since they are less concerned about disrupted supply chains.
"Phong Thai Group invested in 5 companies specializing in shoes manufacture in Xuan Loc District and Trang Bom District," said Mr. Le Quoc Thanh, General Manager of the Vietnam area for Phong Thai Group. Because of the fourth epidemic, the group's companies were forced to halt operations for more than two months, and partners couldn't wait to shift 25% of their orders to other nations. As a result, when the province implemented an open-door policy, the group promptly restarted production at several plants in order to meet demands of orders for the year-end manufacturing season." Phong Thai Group has 65,000 employees working in companies and is one of the major manufacturers for some world-famous shoes brands. This is a corporation having the high turnover footwear of the province.
Moreover, many other enterprises have also increased the capacity of factories, including Dong Tien Joint Stock Company, Tokin Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd., Daiwa Light Alloy Industry Vietnam Co., Ltd., YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd., Fujitsu Vietnam Computer Products Co., Ltd., Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd., Formosa Formosa Co., Ltd, etc.
Return to regular production capacity
Until recently, many enterprises in the province have returned to normal production cycles, and their employees have gone and come back every day. However, enterprises continue to tightly enforce Covid-19 epidemic prevention in order to safeguard employees’ health and safety and to sustain a steady and stable production recovery.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc An Hao, Assistant General Director of Vacpro Vietnam Co., Ltd (Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Zone, Nhon Trach District) said: "In the last three months, the company has only organized roughly half of the migrant employees staying in the plant to maintain production means that capacity is only close to 60% of usual, which means that many orders must be negotiated to prolong delivery time or cut quantity. As a result, following the province's announcement of an open-door policy, the company enrolled extra personnel to restart production lines." The province is progressively removing certain restrictions in bringing employees who are laid off during the period of the social distancing back to workplaces, as well as letting employees use the ‘three on the spot’ option to go home. For example, the province has eliminated travel documents for workers working at factories and expanded many 'green zones' to create favorable conditions for enterprises with green labor who have received two complete doses of the Covid-19 vaccination to source human resources to service production and export.
According to the comments of enterprises, if the epidemic is well controlled, workers and people in the community receiving 2 shots of covid-19 vaccine and the province loosening all regulations production of factories is likely to restore capacity as at the beginning of the year in the range of 2-4 months. In consequence, businesses will meet the orders for the end of the year and negotiate more new orders for 2022. Foreign customers who see effective, stable situations in preventing and controlling the pandemic of factories will be assured of delivering large orders to enterprises in Dong Nai.
Many companies with domestic investment, foreign direct investment said, they still believe the provincial government will have flexible policies in covid-19 prevention and assistance for the enterprises to overcome difficulties and return to the normal operations.
