According to the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority, enterprises in the industrial zones have performed well their dual goals, so production and business are still stable.  Besides, there are also 115 projects that are building factories to put into production in the coming months.  The goal is to catch up with orders from abroad that will move more to Vietnam when the Covid-19 pandemic is under control.

*Prepare to receive large orders

Despite facing two difficulties at the same time, businesses in Dong Nai are still relatively optimistic in the production and business situation. Currently, there are businesses that have restored production, with good growth, but also many businesses have not recovered yet, orders are few. However, businesses in Dong Nai are well prepared so that when the epidemic subsides, businesses, shopping malls, supermarkets in other countries and territories operating back to normal will need a large quantity of goods to serve production and consumption, then orders to businesses in Dong Nai will be more. This can meet the requirements of customers in terms of product quantity and delivery time.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, General Director of Dong Tien Joint Stock Company in Amata Industrial Park (Bien Hoa City) said: "The Company still ensures jobs and income for employees, but the orders received are still few compared to the time when the epidemic has not occurred. However, the company has prepared enough manpower and machinery so that when the world economic recovers, company can receive many large orders to compensate.”

In the first two months of this year, the export turnover of the commodity groups in Dong Nai mostly increased compare to the same period last year, such as: wood products, footwear, computers, electronic products and components,  machinery and spare parts, textile fibers, steel products, plastics ... Businesses receive more orders, but the number of orders is not much. Therefore, businesses hope that after the epidemic, they will sign big contracts.

Mr. Park Hyun Bae, Chairman of the Korean Business Association in Dong Nai, said that Dong Nai is a good place to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic. In the past year, foreign direct investment enterprises have reduced many losses in production and business.  "Coming here, when the epidemic is over, orders from other countries will be transferred to Vietnam, including Dong Nai more. Because of the order in Vietnam, businesses from other countries will be assured due to good epidemic prevention, stable politics and policies that are always reformed in favor of businesses."

*Seize opportunities

According to economic experts, after the Covid-19 pandemic is the time when the world economy recovers and Vietnam is seen as a bright spot for multinational corporations to shift their global supply chains to reduce dependence into a few countries.  In 2020, many countries in the world have negative growth, but Vietnam still maintains positive growth, controls the epidemic, and reduces many losses for businesses. Therefore, Vietnam will be a country with many advantages for foreign enterprises to sign product supply contracts, cooperate to expand production and business investment.  In particular, Dong Nai will be one of the attractive destinations in Vietnam because there are many foreign corporations investing in quite successfully.

Mr. Hironori Fujita, General Director of Otsuka Techno Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Nhon Trach 6 Industrial Park (Nhon Trach District) shared: “Dong Nai is one of the most developed industrial places in Vietnam, where many large corporations in the world have invested in factories producing goods for export and domestic consumption. At this time, there will be a wave of investment in the province in the industrial sector to link the supply of products to each other”'.

In addition, Vietnam is considered as a world leader in the signing of free trade agreements. Currently, the three largest trade agreements in the world are the Free Trade Agreement Vietnam and the European Union (EVFTA), the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) are all attended by Vietnam and the tax flows have been eliminated or are gradually decreasing to 0% is a great attraction for foreign partners, when moving orders to Vietnam, including Dong Nai. Therefore, Dong Nai has come up with the plan in 2021, the export turnover will increase from 8.1-8.5% compared to the previous year.
