66 areas of ponds, lakes, lagoons and lagoons are not leveled

The number of those located in each locality as follows: 17 in Tan Phu District; 12 in Bien Hoa City; 10 in Xuan Loc District; 7 in Trang Bom District; 6 in Cam My District; 4 in Long Khanh City; 3 in Long Thanh District; 3 in Vinh Cuu District; 2 in Dinh Quan District, 1 in Thong Nhat Distirct, and 1 in Nhon Trach District. These are lakes, ponds, and lagoons that are maintaining water supply for agricultural production, exploiting water for industry and daily life; reserve water storage area; drainage service area.

Provincial leaders assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to announce the list of lakes, ponds, lagoons that must not be leveled in Dong Nai Province on the mass media; regularly coordinate with departments, agencies and local People's Committees to update and add to the list of areas that cannot be leveled on the basis of conformity with the socio-economic development planning and the actual situation of the local province.

The relevant departments, agencies and sectors shall coordinate in the management, protection, statistics and update of the list of lakes, ponds, lagoons that cannot be leveled in Dong Nai Province. The People's Committees of districts and cities are responsible for notifying the People's Committees of communes and organizations and individuals, and at the same time directing the commune level to publicly the list and strictly manage the activities of lakes, ponds, and lagoons) in the provincial area, in case violations are detected, promptly handled according to regulations.
