Exporting highly-qualified workers with vocational training

In recent years, the activity of bringing Vietnamese workers to work abroad has not only increased in quantity but also improved in quality. In which, many young people choose to be an apprentice and fully prepared in terms of skills and knowledge before going to work abroad. Grasping this fact, vocational colleges, companies, and labor export promotion centers have taken part in.

 


The trend of vocational training for export will continue to increase in the coming years when the labor markets of many countries such as Korea, Japan, Germany, and ASEAN are in need of recruiting Vietnamese workers.

* Japan opens more doors for Vietnamese workers

Currently, the Japanese labor market is still "thirst" for labor-export Vietnamese workers. The industries that Japanese businesses are in high demand for such as nursing, construction, automobile engineering, electromechanical engineering, food product, hospitality.

 

Instead of recruiting freelance workers at companies specializing in labor export services, Japanese partners want to find workers at high schools, colleges and universities. Accordingly, vocational school students both being an apprentice and participate in training courses in Japanese language and culture to prepare for labor export. These workers are often highly appreciated by their Japanese partners.

 

Mr. Pham Duc Tien is a Vocational High School student of Information Technology at Vietnam - Korea College (Binh Duong Province). When Diem Den Mat Troi Moc Limited Company (Bien Hoa City) opened a Japanese language training class for labor export at the school, Mr. Tien did not hesitate to join this course. Right from the beginning, Tien determined that he would learn a trade to work in Japan to support his family as soon as possible.

At present, he has passed the interview round with a 3-year contract term. Mr. Tien is completing all the procedures to come to Japan in July. According to the information is provided by businesses, the income of workers like Mr. Tien usually ranges from VND30-40 million per a month, after deducting expenses in advance will be more than VND20 million per a month or more.

Low cost, safe travel, guaranteed job, opportunity to continue to renew the contract are the advantages and benefits that vocational school students and trainees will get if they choose labor export.

For employees who have a college degree and a Japanese level N3 or higher, they can participate in the engineer interview. At that time, the salary will be more than VND 50 million per a month. This is the level of income that has not included overtime.

Mr. Truong Anh Minh, Deputy Director of the Diem Den Mat Troi Moc Co., Ltd said: “Currently, Japanese enterprises are promoting the recruitment of engineers, especially construction engineers and automobile engineers. When you finish a college degree, graduation transcripts attached in Japanese JNPT N4 or higher, you can find yourself an engineer job with high salary and many good policies.”

* A new destination - German labor market


Lilama 2 International College of Technology (Long Thanh District) has just opened an intermediate training course in metal cutting following German standards. The training course is under the framework of the Partnership Mechanism for Promoting Vocational Education and Development-Oriented Labor Migration (PAM) program. In addition to specialist knowledge and vocational skills, students are also trained in German and its culture.

 

There are 25 students selected to work abroad in Germany after their graduation. The special thing is that students receive full remission of their tuition fee of the course; In addition, they also get a scholarship of EUR39 per month for men, EUR79 per month for women. After sending the first group of trainees to Germany, the two sides will jointly re-evaluate the effectiveness of the program to come up with the next orientation.

 

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, a student of the course shared: “At first, I was a little hesitant to choose a mechanical major because I thought there would be many difficulties, but after researching carefully, I found that the program was not completely overworked for women. Most of the courses are done with modern machines, so it's not as hard as I thought. Therefore, I chose the course and hoped that I could advance further in work, expand my future. I will try my best to study well to go to Germany.”

 

Sharing the same desire as Ms. Hien, Mr. Le Huy Thanh Dat claimed: "Choosing to study at a vocational college can still be in university alliance. I chose to study in the PAM program because I found the program very helpful, save costs during my study period and having the opportunity to export labor to Germany. I set a goal to be in the top 25 students who can go to Germany and in the top 10 most specialist students. This is a fair competitive environment so that I will have to put in a lot of effort because there will certainly have many difficulties.

 

Dr. Le Quang Trung, Vice President of Lilama 2 International College of Technology, said that this is the first training course in the PAM program. Students who are selected to work in Germany will be recognized by the enterprise as a German worker who has undergone vocational training without retraining. After 2 years, if they do well, the employee will be able to re-sign the contract and have the opportunity to settle in Germany for a long time. "In the case that you return to Vietnam, it will also contribute to supplementing human resources with good international standards for the domestic labor market" - Mr. Trung affirmed.

 

According to Mr. Trung, currently the PAM program in Vietnam has only stopped at the pilot level with the first 50 students. After successfully completing the training course and sending workers to Germany, the two sides will re-evaluate the effectiveness to set out the next orientation.
