The value of land use for aquaculture has increased

According to a report by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in 2021, the value of aquaculture per hectare will reach at VND365 million per hectare per year, an increase of VND28 million per hectare per year compared to 2020.

Achieving the above results is due to the fact that localities in the province have implemented mechanisms and policies to expand high-economic aquaculture models. Typically, the high-tech shrimp hatching model in Nhon Trach has currently had 66 farming households with a total area of ​​165 hectares; average profit of VND600-800 million per hectare in a crop.

 

The target of the provincial aquaculture industry is set in 2022, the rate of increase in production value will reach from 4.5 to 4.7 percent. The value of harvested products reached VND 370 million per hectare per a year, continuing to increase by VND 5 million per hectare a year compared to 2021. Focusing on developing main types such as: white-leg shrimp, giant river prawn, snakehead, anabas, perch, catfish, carp... Having strived by the end of 2022, at least 20% of the water surface area for intensive and semi-intensive aquaculture will be applied science and technology, modern, environmentally friendly technology; at least two thirds of intensive aquaculture establishments apply advanced technology to treat sewage and sludge disposal in order to limit the natural water environment; about 30-35% of main aquaculture breeds are quality controlled.
