WP - On November 25 afternoon, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung worked with the Southern Power Corporation on implementation of production and business, and construction investment targets for the 2016-2020 period and orientation plan for the 2021-2025 period in Dong Nai Province.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung is delivering his speech at the meeting with the Southern Power Corporation.
According to the Southern Power Corporation, in the 2021-2025 period, Dong Nai Power Co., Ltd. will invest in 47 projects with a total investment capital of more than VND 6.7 trillion. It is known that in the 2016-2020 period, the commercial electricity output in the province has increased by an average of nearly 7% per year; it is estimated to reach 14.8 million kWh by 2020. The total construction investment value is over 4.1 trillion VND, of which, 5 projects and 356 projects have been implemented by the Southern Power Corporation and Dong Nai Power Co., Ltd, respectively, most of which have been put into operation.
At the meeting, the Southern Power Corporation and Dong Nai Power Co., Ltd proposed the Provincial People's Committee to agree on the policy of investment in grid projects and works in the province; review and enlist power works and projects in the list of construction investment works in the next 5 years of the province. In addition, the power sector also petitioned the province and districts to support construction site clearance; to integrate the Dong Nai electricity development planning and the province's construction and land use planning; and provide capital support for underground power grid lines.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung said that in the next 5-year development plan, Dong Nai has many works and projects with high electricity demand, which are Long Thanh International Airport, Phuoc An Seaport System, provincial new industrial zones and local industrial clusters. Besides, rooftop solar power and ground power networks are also being numerously invested and installed. Therefore, it is necessary for the power sector to calculate the overall investment network to both ensure the business plan and meet the socio-economic development requirements of the province. In the immediate future, the electricity industry will soon complete and put into use of the ongoing works and projects; coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade and Department of Planning and Investment to integrate Dong Nai grid development planning into the provincial land use planning and construction planning to avoid overlapping plans, which would result in further addition and adjustment for many times.
