WEB PORTAL - On November 23, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam with Government’s Delegation inspected COVID-19 prevention and control in Dong Nai. Receiving the delegation were Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong; PPC’s Deputy Secretary - Chairman Cao Tien Dung; PPC’s Vice Chairman Thai Bao along with leaders of departments, industries, businesses and hospitals.

The delegation visited Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited (Bien Hoa 2 IP, Bien Hoa City). This company leader said that since COVID-19 outbreak, they has strictly implemented prevention measures under the Government and Dong Nai People’s Committee directions. This company has disseminated the regulations on epidemic prevention for all employees such as wearing masks, washing hands, measuring body temperature before entering company. After 4 hours, each worker will have to replace one new mask. The company also regulates the distances of workers in production area, installs anti-epidemic shields in some areas, and prioritizes online meetings; As for foreign experts when entering Dong Nai, have strictly implemented 14-day isolation as prescribed and quarantine themselves for another 14 days before coming to work. With the seriousness in prevention and control measures, since Covid-19 appeared up to now, the whole Nestle company in Vietnam has not had any cases of experts, officers, employees or workers being infected.
The PM Delegation visits Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company
At Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City), General Director Nam Jung Dae said that from March to July 2020, the Covid-19 epidemic caused a drop in the company’s orders, so the company had to leave a part of its employees. Since August until now, orders have been stabilized, so the company’s production is back to normal. Thanks to the drastic anti-epidemic, no one is infected in total over 70,000 employees. The company’s leaders expect the Government to continue creating favorable conditions for more Korean experts and their relatives to soon enter Vietnam.
When the PM Delegation visited Hospital of Shingmark Medical University (Long Binh Tan, Bien Hoa City), Director - Doctor Su Son said that it had set up two quick response teams when there is a COVID-19 suspected case in hospital; perform SARS-CoV-2 test for all inpatients with symptoms such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing; perform screening, classification, diversification, medical declaration, control of people entering and leaving the hospital, etc., and no cases of COVID-19 infection were reported at this hospital.

Reported to the PM Delegation, Director of the Department of Health Phan Huy Anh Vu said that COVID-19 in Dong Nai is currently under good control. All 4 cases are cured; this province has isolated over 3.3 thousand people; 01 Covid-19 specialized hospital, and isolated areas in hospitals and medical centers with hospital beds were organized. Dong Nai also has 3 establishments that have been licensed for COVID-19 screening tests. Equipments, drugs and medical supplies are quite fully prepared. The whole province has 4 concentrated medical isolation zones with a total of 2,000 hospital beds and 1 military isolation ward with a size of 350 beds. In addition, four hotels, licensed accommodations, have taken over and segregated for 441 people.
Deputy PM Dam said Dong Nai province should maintain quick response teams to prevent an epidemic outbreak in the community. Dam stressed, suggested the province to implement strict isolation for foreign experts and repatriated Vietnamese citizens. He said authorities should regularly check places with high population density, like schools and hospitals, and raise public awareness of the epidemic. He advised the province to control tourist accommodations and facilities in industrial zones, as well. COVID-19 epidemic is forecast to last for about one year, so everyone should be alert and aware in this situation.
