Paying attention to investment in irrigation associated with the new countryside

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the period 2008-2021, the province has built, repaired and upgraded 32 dams, reservoirs, sewers and solidified 92 km of canals.

Up to now, the whole province has 134 irrigation works in operation, including: 18 reservoirs, 54 dams, 37 pumping stations, 7 works to prevent saltwater and flood, 3 canals to create sources and 13 drainage channels.

The total irrigation capacity of the works is nearly 21,600 hectares, increased nearly 6,000 hectares compared to 2008; water supply 95,000 m3 per day, prevent salinity more than 5,9000 hectares. After being invested, the irrigation works are assigned to specialized units to manage and exploit with the high efficiency.
