Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee, organizations and member unions said that Dong Nai has over 578,000 workers who are working for 10,082 businesses. Policies on salaries, social insurance, housing, preferential electricity prices are pursued... Thus, workers’ materialistic and spiritual life is ensured. However, there still exists a problem that many businesses have not paid attention to their payroll scale, insurance regimes, working conditions and other benefits for workers as well. Particularly, between late 2008 and early 2009, the global economic recession exerted an impact on businesses’ production, resulting in the fact that a large number of workers lost their jobs and failed to earn a steady income.

Addressing the meeting, Kim praised Dong Nai’s efforts in taking care of workers’ lives. He said that Dong Nai had to pay more attention to its implementing policies in order to bring peace of mind to those who are working in industrial parks in the province. Especially, it is a necessity to concentrate on establishing the Party units, youth unions and trade unions to protect workers’ legitimate interests.
