The opening session of the first Congress of Dong Nai’s ethnic minorities took place

On the afternoon of December 17, 2009, the opening session of the first Congress of Dong Nai’s ethnic minorities took place at the hall of the province’s cultural and sports complex. The Congress was attended by 346 official delegates from twenty ethnic minorities representing nearly 180,000 ethnic people, who are settling in Dong Nai.

Campaign medals “For Ethnic Minorities Development” are awarded to individuals

    The Congress approved of its regulations, elected its presidium and secretariat, and agreed on the list of eighteen delegates chosen to attend the Congress of Vietnam Ethnic Minorities and the request list of collectives and individuals who deserve the Central government’s commendations.

    At the conference, 52 individuals received the campaign medals “For Ethnic Minorities Development” from the Minister and Head of Ethnic Minority Committee.

    Tomorrow – December 18, the Congress will be officially opened.
