The Second Working Day of the 11th National Party Congress: Congressional Documents Still Under Discussion

Following its agenda of January 13, the 11th National Party Congress continued discussion on congressional documents in groups and at the hall.

Most opinions given in groups expressed agreement with the reports on congressional documents at the 11th Party Congress.

However, congressional participants said that to reach targets and implement socio-economic development strategies successfully, the most important thing is comprehensive reform.

At first, reform is to promote democracy within the Party and within activities regarding to people's lives, they continued.

In addition, it is a necessity to expand new economic models with the aim of accelerating national growth, developing high-quality human resources that respond to changes in a new economic context, concentrating on the Party’s reorganization and promptly performing rewarding and disciplinary actions on Party members, they added.

On the afternoon of January 13, the Congress continued its talk at the hall and heard participants’ speeches and made the Party’s viewpoints, leadership, guidelines and solutions to boosting the country’s firm and full development clear.

The speeches by Prof. Ta Ngoc Tan, Minister of Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc, Mr. Vu Hong Khanh from Hanoi, Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Huynh Dam, Mr. Nguyen Van Dua from Ho Chi Minh city, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Pham Khoi Nguyen and others expressed high confidence in the success of the 11th National Party Congress and in opinions contributing to the national development strategy.
