    Six businesses granted investment certificates are Phuoc An Port Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company with a total investment capital of VND19.672 trillion (approximately US$1.1 billion) on an area of 792.58 hectares in Phuoc An and Long Tho communes of Nhon Trach district; Saigon Newport Company – an investor for Tan Cang-Long Binh ICD with a total investment capital of VND198 billion (approximately US$11 million) on an area of 78 hectares in Long Binh ward of Bien Hoa city; Singapore Haiyatt Holding Company – an investor for Haiyatt Vietnam Flower Hotel including a five-star hotel, a high-rise apartment building and villas with a total investment capital of VND850 billion (approximately US$50 million) on an area of 44,280 sqm in Long Binh ward of Bien Hoa city; Topsolvent Company – a Thai investor in manufacturing, processing, refining, blending, treating and packaging various types of solvent, diluent, pour point depressant and desiccant used in the exploitation of crude oil and other chemicals with a total investment capital of VND712 billion (approximately US$40 million) on an area of 20,000 sqm in Go Dau Industrial Park of Long Thanh district; Southern Iron Roofing Company with a total investment capital of VND1,157 billion (approximately US$65 million) on an area of 105,626 sqm in Nhon Trach 2 Industrial Park in Nhon Phu of Nhon Trach district and Chinh Tan Rubber Limited Company, who has pumped an extra VND1,139 trillion (approximately US$64 million, from US$81 to US$145 million) in Nhon Trach 3 Industrial Park.

    Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee – Dinh Quoc Thai said that there has been 1,610 new business start-ups with a total registered capital of VND7.225 trillion and 470 businesses increasing their capital investment as much as VND3.8 trillion the past nine months of 2009. Currently, Dong Nai has more than 9,670 business start-ups with a total registered capital of VND60 trillion. Especially, 62 projects with a total registered capital of VND51.401 trillion were granted investment certificates. Total registered capital for newly-invested projects and capital increase projects of foreign businesses has reached US$766 million. The number of investment certificates, which is still valid, has amounted to 974 with a total registered capital of US$15.54 billion.

    On this occasion, Southern Iron Roofing Company offered Dong Nai province 15 houses of gratitude worth VND375 million. The Trade Union of Petroleum Joint Stock Company and Haiyatt Company contributed VND50 million each to Dong Nai Fund for The Poor and Saigon Newport Company contributed VND50 million to Bien Hoa Gratitude Fund.
