In 2008, 28 cooperatives and 3 public credit funds with the total working capital of nearly VND 100 billion were established across the province. The whole province was estimated to have 199 cooperatives and a total working capital of more than VND 394 billion late 2008. It has attracted nearly 39,000 cooperative members and 6,000 workers. In general, the operations of these cooperatives and public credit funds are fine and gradually tend to switch to operating with multi – purposes and multi – fields. As for cooperative teams, there have been 805 cooperative teams and a Union of high-productivity clubs with a membership of 30,274 reaching 30% compared with the late-2007 total number of cooperative teams. This model works pretty effectively because it is constructed according to its members’ practical demands to mutually support during the production.
