Economic Exchange Fair 2007 kicks off

On December 20th, Economic Exchange Fair 2007 co-organized by Dong Nai cooperative alliance and Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre (VEFAC) was officially opened at Dongnai Culture and Sports Complex. Attending the opening ceremony were Chairperson of the Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot, and Vice-Chairperson of the Provincial People’s Committee.

        With the theme “Trade and craft village”, the Fair attracted 200 booths from neighboring provinces and localities in the province. There were 40 booths of fine-art handicraft and craft villages with unique products such as: brocade weaving establishments at Ta Lai and Tan Phu, Dai Nam fine-art handicraft cooperative, and Dinh Quan fine-art handicraft cooperative, etc. The fair also introduced various kinds of goods to serve for visitors on Christmas and Tet holiday such as: clothes, footwear, processed food, agricultural and aquatic products, electricity-electronics, and interior equipment, etc. Besides, visitors who came and went shopping at the fair every night could see circus programs and music shows performed by famous performers.

It gathered traditional handicraft products, and internal and external enterprises with an aim to create opportunity to exchange as well as step up economic cooperation, boosting trade and investment; promoting competitive advantages in business and production; enhancing the quality of products and services; and speeding up competitive capacity at home and abroad.

The fair will last during 4 days of December 20-26.
