Dongnai Lottery Company coordinates with provincial Study Encouragement Association to grant scholarships to 56 poor students in the province

On November 12, Dongnai Lottery Company coordinates with provincial Study Encouragement Association to held conference sum up 2 years implementation of program to support poor students in the province to continue their studies. The conference has the participation of Mrs. Huynh Thi Nga, vice chairperson of provincial People’s Committee; leaders and representatives of functional agencies, departments and 200 students.

13112006hocbong1After having been implemented for over 2 years, the program helps 360 students in the province to keep studying at universities and colleges in the countries. Each scholarship is worth about 1.2 million VND per year. Students who live in Dongnai province, has poor living conditions, study at State Universities and Colleges will be granted scholarships. The program has attracted the contribution of senior leaders of the province, functional agencies and departments, organizations to support poor students to study. The chairperson of provincial People’s Committee has sponsored a student and also sent invitation letter to enterprises in the province to take part in this program launched the provincial Study Encouragement Association. Many retired officials also deduct a part of their retirement pension to help poor students.

The program has sponsored 8 poor students to finish their studies. Three of them now have stable job as teachers at their home town and reporter at Dongnai Radio and Television Station.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairperson of provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Ngay highly appreciates the results of Study Encouragement program. She reminds that the program should be widely launched so as to mobilize all social resources and people from all walks of life to take part in the program to help poor students to finish their studies.

On this occasion, the provincial Study Encouragement Association grants 56 scholarships to poor students in the province.
