Online conference and live television: effect, swiftness and thrift

The report of provincial Commission of Propaganda and Education shows that online conference to study Resolutions of the 10th Party Congress held on the sixth and seventh of September at 13 locations in the province (except for Trang Bom district, Thong Nhat ward, Party Committee of Rubber Company are locations where have not had internet infrastructure such as ADSL line to hold online conference) attracts over 3.721 Party members. As for online conference to summarize the Directiions No. 50-CT/TW of the 7th Politburo on enhancing the leadership of Party has integrated monthly meeting of three Party cells of Xuan Loc district, Tan Phu district and Long Khanh town). The provincial Commission of Propaganda and Education had conducted a poll to get the opinion of Party cells on this type of conference.  218 of 238 votes cast for this new type of meeting.

Mr. Huynh Van Toi, Head of provincial Commission of Propaganda and Education, asserts that the study of new resolutions in form of online conference is appropriate for current tendency to practice thrift. Unlike the traditional conference, this new type of conference will save a lot of time, money and transportation. In addition, it also mobilizes the strengths of relevant agencies in term of human resource, technical equipment and technique.  

At the conference, many delegates point out that due to shortcomings of equipments some places had not been well organized. Therefore, it needs more investments in equipments so as to expand this type of conference in the whole province. 

The conference has approved draft plan for innovating the form of conference and upgrading the quality of conference of executive committee of Party at grassroots level in the period between 2006 and 2010. The plan aims at enhancing the form and method for studying resolutions and carry out programs, working plans of Party cells at grassroots level in the province by applying information technology in meeting.

To make great use of the strength of information technology, provincial Commission of Propaganda and Education will hold a live conference on studying laws on preventing and fighting corruption and practicing thrift and avoiding wastefulness. The conference will be televised on Dongnai Radio and Television Station on November 3.
