Among 14 Vietnamese products to compete in APICTA 2006 Award held in Macau S.A.R from second to fifth of November, Dongnai has a products named “None Standard Security Portal” written by the Department of Science and Technology.

Participants of APICTA 2006 Award are Vietnam, Thailand, Austrilia, Brunei, HongKong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Macau S.A.R, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and China introducing 176 products in 15 catagories namely Applications & Infrastructure Tools (10), Communications Applications (15), Education & Training (16), E-Government & Services (17), Financial Applications (6), General Applications (18), Healthcare (10), Industrial Applications (11), Media & Entertainment (13), Research & Development (14), Secondary Student Project (11), Security (5), Start-Up Company (7), Tertiary Student Project (7), Tertiary Student Project (18), Tourism & Hospitality (5).

The Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) is an international Awards Program initiated by the Multimedia Development Corporation of Malaysia to increase ICT awareness in the community and assist in bridging the Digital Divide. By providing networking and product benchmarking opportunities to ICT innovators and entrepreneurs in the region, the program is designed to stimulate ICT innovation and creativity, promote economic and trade relations, facilitate technology transfer, and offer business matching opportunities via exposure to venture capitalists and investors. Vietnam has participated in 5 previous APICTA Award and won 4 gold medals and certificates of merits conferred by organizers.
