Dongnai to have Health College

With the approval from the Prime Minister, a Cross-Ministry Assessing Council led by Associate professor and PhD. Le Van Hoc, Manager of Personnel Organization Division of Education and Training Ministry, arrived in Dongnai Health High School in the morning of October 23 to survey the school. If the school is approved, it will be the first health college in the southeastern region.

24102006trungcap2Experiencing through 29 years of establishment and development, the Dongnai Health High School presently has 70 officials and teachers and 50% of them are university graduates. It now has 6 faculties, namely basic science, clinical medicine, convalesce, reproduction health, medicine and traditional medicine

After being upgraded to Health College, it will train 700 to 900 students in term of formal education course and 300 students in term of in-service training. Accordingly, in the period from 2007 to 2010 it will educate from 100 to 200 nurses working in general practice and reproductive health. In addition, it is planning for opening new courses on public health convalesce and physiotherapy so as to get good preparation for the new college. It is also figuring out plans for building new classrooms, labs, dormitory and herbal garden.

After surveying the school, most of the members of Cross-Ministry Assessing Council unanimously advocated the projects to establish Dongnai Health College and highly appreciated the preparation for human powers and infrastructures, equipments. The Council also urged the school to keep on training, fostering its officials and teachers as well make out plans for expand more faculties.
