On the morning of June 19, the provincce’s Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs held a pre-summation meeting for the first 6 months of the year and set its directions and tasks for the second 6 months of the year.

The pre-summation meeting is also an occasion for Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to draw some experience for its future tasks, directions and operations

 
    During the first 6 months, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs attempted to generate employment for nearly 53,000 laborers accounting for 54.09% of the year plan – fulfil its managerial tasks successfully – closely follow the regime of preferential allowance which is entitled to those who have devoted to the country – visit, offer gifts to and organize sightseeing trips for the individuals who have devoted to the country – create favorable conditions for 4,000 poor households to gain an access to loans for their production expansion and issue nearly 152,000 health insurance cards, representing 69.08%. The Department has paid a special attention to social security policies:  a regular allowance grant of VND8.7 billion for 16,151 individuals, an immediate allowance grant for genuinely needy and homeless individuals and a care for the spiritual and material life of genuinely needy children. From now to the end of the year, the Department will strive to create jobs for more than 39,000 laborers, reduce the unemployment level to 2.7%, increase the rate of using time and labor in rural areas to 88%, promote vocational training, focus on looking after people’s life and on the policies for poor households and regions and those who have devoted to the country, improve the management and prevention of social evils and reduce accidents and child abuses ...
