Provincial Veterinary Division announced that The first vaccination for cattle in 2011 gains higher result than in the same period last year as residents have been increasingly aware of epidemic prevention and control.

 

Vaccination against mouth and foot disease for pigs has accounted for above 70%

 

 Specifically, the number of buffaloes and cows vaccinated against mouth and foot disease is 27,483 heads, out of 39,233 expected heads, accounting for 70.05%; congestion paratyphoid vaccination is practiced on 26,642 heads, out of 39,276 expected heads, accounting for 67.83%. The number of pigs vaccinated against mouth and foot disease is 269,760 heads, out of 376,981 expected heads; cholera vaccination is applied on 289,033 heads, out of 379.476 expected heads, achieving by 76.17%. The number of goats vaccinated against mouth and foot disease is 16,665 heads, out of 26,219 expected heads, accounting for 63.56%. The number of dogs and cats vaccinated against rabies is 26,704 heads. However, there are several districts that get the result of low vaccination rate such as, in terms of pig vaccination against mouth and foot disease, Dinh Quan:  23.16%; Vinh Cuu: 41.16%; Tan Phu: 46.86%.
