According to Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first 6 months of 2011, aquatic breeding is facing difficulties caused by unfavorable weather conditions, diseases and polluted water (sugar molasses overflowing breakdown at La Nga sugar factory killing a large number of fishes at La Nga floating fish village and causing serious effects on the earnings of aquatic products at Tri An lake). Additionally, feed and material price have been rising while the selling price is low, which makes aquatic breeders lose their income.
