In the morning of 1-3 January, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh had a working session with the delegation of the Ministry of Construction, led by Vice Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan, on the actual inspection related to Dong Nai province's recommendations on partially adjusting general planning in Bien Hoa City until 2030.
The project of general planning adjustment in Bien Hoa City until 2030 and vision toward 2050 was approved by the provincial People's Committee in Decision 2302 dated on 25-7-2014 on the basis of merging 4 communes of Long Thanh district and Bien Hoa city.
After 2 years of implementation, there are problems that need to be adjusted to meet the requirements of socio-economic development, Bien Hoa city recommends adjusting the width of the road connecting Buu Hoa bridge to highway 1K from 22-30m to 47m, and adjusting the land use function of some locations along the route to create the road construction resources and improve the urban landscape.
The city also proposed to partially adjust the function of the concentrated green trees into planning project land of low density construction - combining trading services and green park in Pho isle island (Hiep Hoa commune). In accordance with this proposal, 50 hectares of greenery will be dedicated to project land. The next recommendation is to adjust the location and boundaries of Dong Nai port and petroleum depot in Long Binh Tan ward in conjunction with the adjustment of the ecological route along Long Binh Tan ward to An Hoa commune and adjusting part of the greenery area into project land.
With this option, 11 hectares of residential land is converted to land of focal technical infrastructure and 35 hectares of green land is converted into project land.
Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Dinh Toan unanimously agreed on the proposed adjustments to the general planning of Bien Hoa City and would propose the Prime Minister approve the general policy. However, Dong Nai must pay special attention to landscape and architecture.
In fact, the Dong Nai’s urban area has been developed spontaneously over the years, so it is not clear how the planning will be seen. In order to develop Bien Hoa’s urban area toward civilization and modernity, Dong Nai must have a large enough land fund and invite investors with sufficient financial potential to implement; It is possible to invite enterprises to contribute comments from the beginning to ensure the feasibility of the planning prject.
On the whole, the Deputy Minister noted that the city must pay special attention to preserving and developing the green park system to ensure the harmonious and sustainable development of Bien Hoa – a city of industrial development.
