On March 3rd, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh presided over the new year meeting with more than 120 foreign direct investment enterprises in the province.
At the meeting, enterprises expressed their recognition of the efforts to carry out administrative reform of the provincial government and suggested that the province continue to accelerate the simplification of procedures and create a favorable business environment. In particular, the enterprise pointed out that the process of making environmental impact assessment report through is still complicated through many stages, which takes too much time.
Noting this recommendation, Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh said that in order to simplify the procedures, enterprises only need to work with the Authority of Industrial Zones (for those in the industrial zones) and the Department of Planning and Investment (for other enterprises). For the environmental assessment report, the province will assign the Authority of Industrial Zones to coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to quickly handle the procedures for the enterprises.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee also said that with 32 industrial parks and dense population, Dong Nai will make more investment in infrastructure such as electricity, water, and especially transport infrastructure in order to ensure an investment environment. At present, the province is implementing the project of expanding Bui Van Hoa Street in Bien Hoa city and 25B road in Nhon Trach which are already overwhelmed, more specifically 25B road is expected to be completed this year. Project 319 connecting the industrial zones in Nhon Trach district with Ho Chi Minh - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway is also being urgently deployed. In addition, cultural, physical training and sport and workers' housing facilities will also be built, helping to ensure the livelihoods of workers in the area.
At the conference, businesses also raised many questions and recommendations on tax, customs, labor safety ... Leaders of departments gave satisfactory answers to those issues.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh said that facilitating the operation of enterprises is the responsibility and duty of the provincial government. In 2017, the provincial People's Committee will hold at least 4 meetings with FDI enterprises on specific topics and fields to address the difficulties. In addition, businesses should actively make recommendations directly to departments, or through associations. The province will receive and handle all contributions, recommendations and prevent enterprises from the difficult situations. Departments should set up a business support unit and provide business consultations before promulgating regulations to ensure practicality and relevance.
