According to the report released by the Provincial People’s Committee, the Production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery in 2008 reached US$7,083.9bil, up 6 percent over 2007, hitting 101.1 percent of the plan.

Specifically, the agricultural value is VND6,515.5bil, getting 100.8 percent of the plan, up 6% (farming up 3.2%, husbandry up 13.1% and agricultural services up 3%). The forestry value is VND18.1bil, obtaining 109.8% of the plan, and as much as the same period. Fishery value is VND486.7bil, gaining 104.6% of the plan, up 6.6% compared to the same period. The structure of agricultural production value can be listed as follows: agriculture makes up 92%, forestry 1.1%, fishery 6.9%. In the agricultural structure, farming accounts for 67.3%, husbandry 28.6%, services 4.1%. In the forestry structure, afforestation makes up 17.8%, exploitation 44.3%, services 37.9%. In the fishery structure, aquaculture accounts for 91.6%, exploitation 5.4% and services 3%.
