One more new commune has
been affected by the epidemic |
So far the province has 11
communes involved with the blue-eared pig epidemic including Tan Vinh (Vinh Cuu
district), Bac Son, Song Trau (Trang Bom district); Son Nhan (Cam My district);
DakLua (Tan Phu) Bau Can, Tam An (Long Thanh district); Phuoc Thien, Vinh Thanh
(Nhon Trach district); Bao Vinh (Long Khanh town) and Gia Canh (Dinh Quan
district).
Accordingly, the veterinary
sector has destroyed nearly 19,000 untreatable infected pigs. While the
blue-eared pig epidemic tends to be widespread,
farmers have no interest in measures on prevention and control yet. If no resolute, timely measure released, new more outbreaks
are possible.
