So far the province has ten communes involved with the blue-eared pig epidemic including Tan Vinh (Vinh Cuu district), Bac Son, Song Trau (Trang Bom district); Bau Kan, Tam An (Long Thanh district); Phuoc Thien, Vinh Thanh (Nhon Trach district); Song Nhan (My Cam district); DakLua (Tan Phu district) and Bao Vinh (Long Khanh town).
Accordingly, the veterinary sector has destroyed nearly 9,000 untreatable infected pigs. The situation of the blue-eared pig epidemic is going complicated; therefore, regulatory agencies and farmers well as need to have resolute and timely measures on prevention and control in order to block new outbreaks.
