Many households escape poverty thanks to the project
|
This project is carried out with an aim of helping poor rural farmers know how to make use of capital well, enhance capability to organize production, raise income in each cultivation area unit, gradually improve their lives, and escape poverty stably.
In 2009, the project has got 110 training classes held for farmers in 9 districts with needy communes and there were 5,500 turns of participants. The focused contents are rice cultivation techniques, corn cultivation techniques, and chicken raising techniques. Specifically, 890 poor households were supported with plants and breeding animals, and organic fertilizer used to serve rice and corn cultivation. Moreover, 80 breeding chickens were given to each household with 52,000 ones in total to serve economic development. As known, the project has been conducted in 2008-2010 period.
