Dinh Quan’s farmers have so far havested more than 90 percent of the summer – autumn rice crop area with the average yield of 45 quintals/hectare

As known, in this summer – autumn rice crop, although the weather is not favourble and many epidemic diseases break out like brown rice planthopper, golden apple snail and rice blast disease, the yield capacity is 4 quintal per hectare higher than last year because the farmers have picked out new, high productivity and pest-resistant rice varieties and also acquired the farming techniques.

In August, the District plans to organize training courses on brown hopper control and warns the farmers choose new rice varieties with high pest-resistance and sow rice all and sundry to prevent from brown hopper attrack.
